A’ the way to Galloway: Jo Miller and friends

Jo Miller and Friends

Music Making in the Glenkens: Past, Present and Future

Join us to celebrate the launch of a new album of Galloway music, featuring former Dalry residents Jo Miller (song and fiddle) and Amy Geddes (fiddle and viola), Wigtownshire singer Robyn Stapleton, with Steve Sutcliffe (concertinas) and Neil Sutcliffe (piano, accordion and concertina).

Since the 1980s Jo has been researching local music - interviewing residents and exploring historical sources to investigate the lively music cultures of the area. ‘A’ the way to Galloway’ includes Glenkens repertoire such as Robbie Murray’s ‘Toon o Dalry’ and Logan Paterson’s ‘Buchts o Knockreoch’, along with more recent compositions.

All are welcome for this special concert, with opportunities to participate, and refreshments on hand!

Book tickets online at https://gcat.scot/arts, call 01644 430 274 or pop into the CatStrand.
