Blue and the Tranquil Storm

CatStrand hosts the exciting launch of Swallows, the Hare and the Moon, the latest album from local singer-songwriter, Blue.

Blue writes from his first instrument, the acoustic guitar, and then aided with a collection of other musicians shapes them into an eclectic mix of songs in a variety of styles; acoustic soul with a bit of bounce, reggae beats, bluesy folk, the occasional heartfelt ballad, and never afraid to add some electric guitar here and there.

As a member of the band Quirkus, the album Farewell to Treebeard was recorded in 2001, after which Blue went on to record a solo album Sound in your Stride in 2014.

On 29 February, Blue will be performing songs from his most recent recording (the launch of which was delayed due to Covid restrictions) along with some of the musicians whom he worked with on its production.
