Loch Ken Ranger Service
The Loch Ken Ranger Service was established in 2021, and is leading the way as one of the first community-led Ranger Services in Scotland!
Led by Head Ranger, Leanne Pumpr, our Ranger Service carries out regular patrols around Loch Ken, both on land and water, and ensures that the Loch and surrounding areas are well looked after.
We are proud to serve our communities in helping to preserve and protect the wonderful environment we have here at Loch Ken.
Of course, patrolling the Loch is not all that our Ranger Service does- we run a successful Environmental Education Programme for local school children and Youth Water Safety Awareness Sessions, equipping young people with skills to keep themselves safe on and around the water.
This Winter we have been working on a Resilience Project, working with our communities to help prepare for extreme weather events. We will be continuing this vital work and are keen to assist our communities however we can.
