Glenkens Community Shop

The Glenkens Community Shop opened 2012 and since then has given out over £70,000 to support many groups and individuals who play such a vital role in our Glenkens community.

GRANTS

Grant distribution happens on a twice annually and we welcome applications for the next round of grants. Application forms are available in the shop, by phoning Lis: 07530 804217 or emailing: lis.lewis49@gmail.com.

Grants are for sums of up to £500. Applicants should be either interest groups based in the Glenkens, or individuals with projects which will benefit the Glenkens community.

VOLUNTEERS

We welcome volunteers of all ages, and new volunteers are always on with experienced people, and we usually have at least two people on at any one time. We’re an exceptionally friendly group and we all really enjoy our time in the shop – it’s a great way to meet others, serve the community while getting to know people and listen to their chat and also support some of the incredibly varied groups and projects in the Glenkens.
