Build Innovate Sustain offers a full day of speakers, workshops, discussion forums, a marketplace, networking opportunities and taster and interactive sessions to support capacity building and upskilling within the third sector.

Taking place on Wednesday 4th September at Dumfries Baptist Church, charities, community groups and other third sector organisations are already starting to book up to join Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway at this brand-new event.

The third sector in Dumfries and Galloway is the most valuable resource in supporting health and wellbeing in our communities, however not everyone sees their own value, contribution and capabilities.

The Build Innovate Sustain conference aims to support organisations to see things a little differently, understanding the impact of the work they do and exploring possibilities.

Workshops include:

Build

  • Intergenerational communities

  • Think Carer

  • Partnership for a purpose

  • Improving the cancer journey

Innovate

  • What do you do?

  • What is innovation?

  • Thinking outside the box

Sustain

  • Fair funding and sector challenges

  • Full cost recovery and sustainability

  • Autism and the Workplace

Taster sessions will include the opportunity to try a dementia VR headset, learn about an art journalling project and creative toolbox, and Makaton sign along.

The full programme and link to book free places is available at: https://www.tsdg.org.uk/bis/.
